{{MRS. JULIA LANDRUM - Hot Springs- Mrs. Julia Ann Landrum, 96, died at 12:30 a.m. today in Bath County Community Hospital. Mrs. Landrum was born June 22, 1872 in Alleghany County, a daughter of the late William and Carolyn Bostic Vance.
She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Herbert Hooker, Mrs. George Hooker, both of Hot Springs, Mrs. Taft Carter of Covington, Mrs. Dess Campbell of Detroit, Mich. and Mrs. David Carter of Warm Springs; also, six sons, Guy Landrum of Blacksburg, Huse Landrum of Route 2, Hot Springs, John and Fred Landrum, both of Covington, Tommy Landrum of Portsmouth, and Andy Landrum, of Richland. There are also 35 grandchildren, 79 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Monday in the chapel of McLaughlin's Funeral Home, with the Rev. Sexton Buchanan officiating. Interment will be at Union Chapel Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Lindsay Landrum, Donald Landrum, Willie Landrum, Julian Landrum, Jimmy Carter, Johnny Carter, Leonard Carter and Clyde Hooker. Friends and neighbors who attend the service will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The body will remain at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends on Sunday from 7 pm to 9 pm.}}
Death record shows Julia Ann Landrum (96) was born June 22, 1872 in Alleghany County, Virginia and was the widow of William Arch Landrum. She lived in Hot Springs, Bath County, Virginia and her parents were William Vance and Caroline Bostic. Julia died on April 11, 1969 in the Community House in Hot Springs, Virginia. Burial was in Union Chapel Cemetery. Informant was her daughter, Mrs. Dave Carter. Funeral charges were made by Fred Landrum.
